Timber lining can be used to line ceilings and walls offering natural warmth and character to a room. It has thermal and insulating properties and can be used horizontally or vertically or a combination of both. Clear or semi transparent stains highlight the timber grain. Lining available from Pine Timber Products includes Pine Lining and Western Red Cedar lining. Pine lining is low maintenance and its natural grain and tight knot can be a great feature to any room. Western Red Cedar Lining is rich in texture with a straight grain and distinct growth rings.
Skirting is used as a trim or finishing moulding where walls meet floors. It is partly used for its stylish look and also for protection of walls from everday wear and tear ie vacuum cleaner.
Architraves are used as a trim around door frames and windows. Their main purpose is to hide the gap between the wall and the door jamb or window frames. They are also used to finish off and create a decorative effect to entrances where no doors are hung.
This grade of Pine is mainly used for converting into panelling, shelving and furniture, where a knotty type timber with a fine appearance is required. It is used for a large range of purposes due to its appearance and strength.
Clear grade pine is extensively used for the production of mouldings and products requiring the ultimate fine, knot free appearance. This is due to it being the highest grade of board and free of all imperfections. Products manufactured from this grade are suited for clear finishing when used internally, or staining or painting when used externally.
